Heavy snowfall in Germany’s Bavaria region led to chaos on Sunday morning, with up to 10cm of snow blanketing the area. The unexpected snow caught many drivers off guard, especially those who had not yet switched to winter tires, causing them to struggle with slipping and getting stuck on the roads.

The A9 motorway between Bayreuth and Pegnitz bore the brunt of the snowstorm, experiencing a high number of incidents. Although most accidents were minor, the slippery conditions led to delays and disruptions along the route. Police were dispatched to manage the traffic flow and assist drivers in need.
