Inductees and Ceremony Details

The class of 2024 also includes Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Foreigner, and A Tribe Called Quest. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 19 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, the home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame museum.

The lineup of inductees represents a wide range of music genres and eras, with each artist contributing significantly to the world of music. Notably, this year’s selection includes first-time nominees such as Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, and Kool & the Gang.

Ozzy Osbourne, although previously inducted as part of Black Sabbath in 2006, received his first solo nomination. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame continues to evolve and diversify its inductees, acknowledging the impact of these artists on music and culture.

John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, highlighted the influence of the inductees, stating, “This diverse group of inductees each broke down musical barriers and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps.”

Despite the impressive lineup of inductees, several notable acts like Mariah Carey, Jane’s Addiction, Oasis, Sade, Eric B. & Rakim, Lenny Kravitz, and Sinead O’Connor did not make the final cut this year, sparking discussions among music enthusiasts.
