Mass Grave Discovered in Gaza
Emergency services in Gaza have made a grim discovery, uncovering a mass grave near the Nasser Medical Complex in the battered city of Khan Younis. The bodies of at least 50 Palestinians have been recovered, with reports suggesting that the total number of bodies in the grave could be as high as 150. Civil defence teams are actively engaged in a search and recovery operation in the area.
Israeli Air Strikes Continue
Overnight Israeli air strikes in the southern city of Rafah have resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 22 individuals, including 18 children. The relentless bombardment of Rafah, where a significant portion of Gaza’s population has sought refuge, has been ongoing. Israel has been targeting the city, claiming that Hamas is holding Israeli hostages and has strongholds in the area.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to escalate attacks on Hamas in a bid to secure the release of Israeli hostages. Despite international calls for restraint, Israel has maintained its aggressive stance in the region.
As tensions escalate, Israel has deployed its forces along the country’s borders ahead of the Jewish holiday of Passover. Security measures have been heightened, and citizens are urged to remain vigilant and adhere to safety directives issued by the Home Front Command.
