New York University
Police arrested protesting students outside of New York University on Monday night, culminating in a confrontation with the school’s administration.
Yale University
On Monday morning, police at Yale University placed protesters in zip ties and escorted them onto campus shuttles to issue summonses for trespassing.
Columbia University
Columbia University opted to keep classroom doors closed on Monday, transitioning lectures to online platforms and advising students to remain at home. The campus had recently experienced the dismantling of a protest encampment by the police, only to see it rebuilt by demonstrators.
Harvard, Tufts, Emerson
Harvard Yard was closed to the public, while nearby campuses such as Tufts and Emerson were grappling with how to manage protest encampments resembling those at Columbia. Despite the previous arrests, demonstrations persisted at Columbia on Monday.
